The strangest thing about Nashville band Lambchop is not that they boast a staggering 13 band members, neither is it to do with their latest album, Nixon, which has received critical acclaim from virtually every music magazine thinkable this side of the Atlantic. The one thing that makes the band stand out from the crowd, albeit indifferently, is the fact that Lambchop is the thing they do in their evenings, at the weekends, when they are not at work plumbing or fixing roofs. Musically they are equally amazing. With a style that is hard to describe but very easy to listen to (mixing up anything from country to indie to soul to gospel) it is not hard to see why Lambchop are a truly great band.
